Kirsty Grant
KIRSTY GRANT is a Research Director at the Centre National de la Recherche in Gif sur Yvette, France. With more than 30 years experience in Neuroscience Research, her principle interests are in the dynamic representation of the sensory world with different levels of complexity in neural networks of the brain, and in feedback mechanisms linking perception to action.
She has been active in multidisciplinary research projects funded by the European Commission combining systems-level experimental neuroscience, theoretical modelling, physics, electronic engineering and robotics, since FP4, including ICT-FET “SENSEMAKER” (FP5), FACETS (FP6), ANGELS and BrainScaleS (FP7) and she is also active in several Marie Curie training programmes. She is also an honorary member of the academic council of the Instituto de Investigaciones Biológicas Clemente Estable in Montevideo, Uruguay and has strong links with on-going neuroscience research in Uruguay through international research and training programmes.
