Lu Rongkai

RONGKAI LU is now the Deputy Director General of the Bureau of International Cooperation, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He is personally in charge of the cooperation affairs with the Western European countries and the joint projects with funding organizations in these countries as well as with the European Union.

Previously, he worked as the Director of Division of the Western European Affaires at the Bureau of International Cooperation of NSFC from 2001 to 2010, and at the S&T Service of the Chinese Embassies in Belgium and France from 1996 to 2000. He also served as a researcher in Science Policy at the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China from 1987 to 1995.
